A new review paper about "Black silicon for solar fuels" in Advanced Science has published. This Journal is wrritened by Ha Neul based on the research during collaborative research programme in Norway. We are glad that his research area gets broaden time to time. Congratulations, Ha Neul!

University of South-Eastern Norway posted about the joint meeting between SKKU and Norway research council. As both universities pay attention on the collaboration, we expect productive outcomes. Moreover, we wish that this project may be used for strengthen research partnerships between South Korea and Norway.

Min Jae got a scholarship from Korea Student Aid Foundation (KOSAF) recommended by graduate school. This scholarship is given to whom will have a possibility to contribute to developing research and technology. Min Jae has been worked hard for his research area. So we are happy to see him to be recognized. Congratulations Min Jae!!

SKKU-Research Council of Norway Meeting held in September, 29th at SKKU. Many professors and directors in both countries gathered in one place to share the vision for strengthen research capabilities via expanded collaboration. During this council, Professor Yang took a role of moderator. It was a very efficient and fulfilling time.

Continuing from last year, professor Wang visited NOEL again. We also had Prof. Tunnum, head of department and Dr. Du. from University of South-Eastern Norway. This time, this group of people visited Korea for SKKU-Norway research cooperation. We are very welcome having them here, and it was very enjoyable time together.

Jisu joined 2026 HUST-SKKU Symposium from 2026.09.13.-16. as an oral presenter. He spoke about his recent research area related to 'Cu3BiS3' materials, and learned many different research topics in these two university. We are very proud of Jisu who delivered very good presentation at the symposium as a representative student, and very glad that he had a enjoyable time during the stay.

Team Noel had a small birthday party for Yeseul. We enjoyed a break time all together under the fall's sunshine. Happy Birthday Yeseul!

Regarding of professor Yang's outstanding education skills and efforts, he received 'Lee Ki Jun Engineering Innovation award' from Korean Society of Engineering Education. Therefore, he delivered a lecture on how to integrate textbooks, academic research, and the real world into education. It was a very honorable time for him and we all congrats what he achieved :)

Now, three members of our Lab (Myeonggen, Se Eun, Yumin) totally graduated from Sungkyunkwan University. And also, ready to be enrolled Sungkyunkwan graduate school. All the members came and celebrated their graduation. Big congrats for their wrap-up of Uni-life, and joining researcher-like student life :)

Professor Yang and his fellow researchers in Swiss wrote a paper about "Electrochemical Impedance Spectroscopy of (Photo)electrochemical Systems: A Practical Guide". It is a specific and functional review paper can be helpful for whom is processing and interpretating EIS data from photoelectrochemical system. Team NOEL had a farewell party for Gawon who will start new journey in NY. She will graduate soon with getting Master degree and move to new university in US for her next step. To remember her dedication and to support her future, we had a farewell party for Gawon. It was very meaningful and cheerful time. We will miss you Gawon, and will continue to root for you.

Ha Neul's devotion on his research, now presented in Nature communications with the title of "Disorder-mediated non-equilibrium photocurrent redistribution enables homeostatic synaptic conditioning in AgBiS2 heterostructure". We are very proud of his work. We give a big hand to Ha Nuel. Congratulations!

Min Jae's hard working now present in International Journal of Energy Research with title of "Low-Potential Electrooxidation of Lignin Model Compounds through Brønsted Based-Controlled Cu/TEMPO Meditationnow". We give a big hand for him, and expect his next steps :) Congratulations, Min Jae!

There are 4th ReNewPV + 16th European Kesterite Conference held in Tallinn, Estonia, 17th of June. Professor Yang was invited to give a speech about his recent research field, molecular ink engineering, at the conference. Many people attended to learn about progress in molecular ink engineering. As well as, Ha Neul presented disorder engineering research at the conference.

Sungkyunkwan University(SKKU) posted the impact of the research about utilizing disorder engineering in low-powered AI chip, which team NOEL coworked with Professor Saebyuk Jo's lab. Youngen got a scholarship from Kimsunmun scholarship. She has been awarded a scholarship in recognition of her outstanding research and academic performance. We sincerely give congratulations on her achievement !

Dr. Park who joined NOEL since 2023 gave a talk about his last presentation during Journal club on 29th of May. He summerized his research agenda and shared what he earned by joining team NOEL. It was very special moment because he is finalizing life in SKKU and will start new journey in MIT, Boston. Thank you for your serving and work in NOEL, and we are looking forward to meeting you again with good news :)

Seonggeun did successfully his master's defence. Now, he is ready to be graduated from the school ! We give a big hand for he to delegently work during master courses, and finish up well.

Gawon successfully defenced her master's thesis. She had a good presentation on her research work during master course. We sincerely congrat that she is finalizing her master course and support new journey in U.S.

Another research paper will be published soon :) Gawon's research work has accepted to publish in Nano-Energy with a title " Atomic Scale Distortion Enables Optimal Cu-Co Coupling for Selective Electrochemical Nitrate to Ammonia Conversion in Neutral Electrolytes" We give you a big hand !
